why did you start and what are you doing now?

Aura Vortex Records was quietly started in 2016 by Emily Kastrul as a container for releases by Sister Species and Betazoid.

starting in fall of 2021, Aura Vortex is officially “on the internet”. we are gently expanding our roster, and releasing new & weird sort-of-pop albums from musicians we love <3
